About Me

Firstly - thank you for visiting my site.

Secondly - thank you for visiting this page so that you know who you are supporting.

My name is Jennie, I live in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley with my wonderful little family.

I have been an animal lover ever since I was a child. I grew up with my dad bringing home all kinds of animals for me to love and learn about. I think the most memorable was when he brought home two baby chipmunks who were orphaned when a dog had killed their mother. It was a wonderful experience to take care of these wild and feisty little creatures.

My love for animals only grew as I got older. I took horsemanship lessons and attended camps. I raised rabbits and cavies (more commonly known as guinea pigs) and learned everything I could in 4H until I aged out and began showing and learning with the American Rabbit Breeders Association. From there I went on to do volunteer work with animals.

I first started volunteering at my local Humane Society, I was one of the caregivers for the dogs but also assisted in the identification of rabbit breeds when they came in and worked my way up to being a dog trainer to help the dogs at the shelter become more "adoptable". This only fueled my love of working with animals and from there I went to volunteer at a local wildlife rescue where I got first hand experience in rescue and rehabilitation with all kinds of crazy wildlife. From the smallest baby birds to the strangest coatimundi I was able to learn how to care for and nurture these wonderful creatures. I was able to get hands on wildlife vet experience alongside some wonderful teachers in their field. When life moved me away from the wildlife rescue a door was opened to volunteer at a horse rescue. I got to work along side some great people to expand my knowledge with horses. I got to have the pleasure of working with some of the more "problem" horses with training as well as getting the privilege to learn some basic horse chiropractic to help with the horses that needed it.

All in all, I have always loved being involved with animals and throughout my life I have been a "go to" when friends and family needed help with their animals. Growing up with my amazing experiences along side helping others whenever I could I always knew that I wanted to do more.

I want to help people live their best lives with their pets. Sometimes that means helping people by caring for their pets when they need it weather it is daily care, basic grooming maintenance, administering medications, or training help. Other time's that means helping to provide beneficial products at affordable prices. Every product that I supply stems from a need or a want that I had with my own pet's or those I help care for. I spent years studying canine nutrition and making my own dog food and treats. When I saw "healthy" treats being sold for crazy prices I knew something needed to change, and I knew that I wanted to help be the one to make those changes. I was already making these things for my dogs and have seen them thriving, and I knew I could provide these healthier alternatives for others as well at a price that is actually affordable. From treats I knew I wanted to expand. I would continue to study and learn and create a healthier alternative for our pets that depend on us.

With the start of Montana's Misfits, the sky is the limit. I am able to combine my love of animals with my love of creating healthy products for pets as well as fun items for their people. I strive to make a positive impact on my community while doing what I love.

I appreciate all of your support.
